德里克·史密斯（1927-2003），本名德里克·豪·史密斯，英国侦探小说作家、密室研究家。史密斯深受约翰·狄克森·卡尔的影响，创作了挑战不可能犯罪的长篇处女作《召唤恶魔》（1953），在许多密室书单上都可以见到其身影。但是，之后创作的长篇小说《致命舞台》和《雕塑家之死》一直未能在欧美正式出版，只有前者于1997年在日本私人出版，因数量稀少成为价格不菲的珍本书。直到2014年，史密斯三部作品英文版才在美国推出，同时中文版也与中国读者见面。
